American Association of State Social Work Boards (AASSWB): The AASSWB is the association of state bodies that regulate social work. In addition to providing a Board Directory, this site also provides information on licensing, products and publications, and other relevant links. American Board of Examiners (ABE) in Clinical Social Work: The ABE issues a credential, the Board Certified Diplomate (BCD), in Clinical Social Work to advanced clinical social workers nationwide. Associations and Organizations: Including NASW, CSWF, CASW, state chapters, international associations, other social work and miscellaneous associations. Council on Social Work Education (CSWE): The CSWE is a national association that preserves and enhances the quality of social work education through setting and maintaining policy and program standards, accrediting bachelor's and master's degree programs in social work, promoting research and faculty development, and advocating for social work education. Journal Links: Provides journals, news, and publications in psychiatry, psychology, and social work. Mental Health: A Report of the Surgeon General: Review this report and other Surgeon General reports dating back to 1964. Also, obtain information on conferences, workshops, and other publications. National Association of Social Workers: The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with more than 155,000 members. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies. National Organization of Forensic Social Work (NOFSW): The NOFSW was established to provide for the advancement of education in the field of forensic social work, thereby enhancing the professional activities of forensic practitioners, administrators, and policy makers. Social Work and Social Service Jobs On-Line: Includes a job database, internet resources, career resources, employer services, and more. Social Work Education: This is a list of all known social work schools with web sites. These listed schools offer either a Bachelors or Masters of Social Work. This site also provides links to other sites that have a comprehensive list of social work schools. Social Work Journals: Most of these web sites do not provide more than a description of the publication and subscription information. Some have tables of contents for some or all of its issues. A few have abstracts. None, except for the on-line journals, offer full-text articles. Social Work Search Engine: A search engine devoted to the Social Work profession.
