Mental Health: A Report of the Surgeon General: Review this report and other Surgeon General reports dating back to 1964. Also, obtain information on conferences, workshops, and other publications. Minnesota Association of Community Corrections Act Counties: An association of counties who operate corrections programming. This site offers valuable information on a broad range of topics within corrections. National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI): NAMI's efforts focus on support to persons with serious brain disorders and to their families; advocacy for nondiscriminatory and equitable federal, state, and private-sector policies; research into the causes, symptoms and treatments for brain disorders; and education to eliminate the pervasive stigma surrounding severe mental illness.
